Dr. Mariam Bahgat is a Lecturer of Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University with a PhD in Prosthodontics. Graduating with distinction, Dr. Bahgat has dedicated over 10 years to advancing the field of prosthodontics, specializing in management of temporomandibular disorders.
Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, as the prestigious Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (JPD), and BMC oral health Journal, focusing on recent advances for the management of TMD, implantology and digital dentistry workflows in prosthodontics.
In 2023, Dr. Bahgat won the IADR Hatton Award of the IADR-Egyptian Section where her research entitled “Sonographically- Guided Regenerative Injections for Management of Temporomandibular Joint Internal Derangements” was selected to be presented internationally at the IADR annual meeting in New Orleans, USA.
Dr. Bahgat is currently an esteemed member of the Editorial board of top-ranked dental Journals, including JPD, BMC oral health, and Clinical Oral Investigations. As an elite peer reviewer for top-tier journals, she routinely evaluates high-impact research to ensure scientific rigor and clinical relevance.
