Pelopidas Lomvardas graduated from the School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1991. He continued his postgraduate studies at Columbia University, where he completed a three-year program in Prosthodontics and received his MSc degree in 1997.
Since then, he has maintained a private dental practice in Athens, focusing on general dentistry with special emphasis on oral rehabilitation and the treatment of temporomandibular disorders.
He has been an active member of the c Stomatological Society of Greece since 1991 and has served as Vice President of its Board of Directors for the past twenty years. He regularly participates in congresses and scientific meetings as a speaker, with primary interests in occlusion, oral rehabilitation — both conventional and implant-supported — and temporomandibular disorders. (All these courses are focused both on the analog and the digital workflow).
With the new digital workflow he got involved as a clinician and as an educator with AID (Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentistry) a new Dental Society in Greece.
He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Attica Dental Association.
He is the Director of the Dental Department of KIM, a group of MDs and DDS Doctors who provide medical and dental treatment at the isolated Greek Islands and the most remoted villages of the mainland of Greece.
Dr. Lomvardas has published articles in Greek and international scientific journals, contributed to the writing of dental textbooks, and translated two dental textbooks from English into Greek.
