Dr. Afnan O. Al-Zain is an Associate Professor and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at King Abdulaziz University Faculty of Dentistry, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She currently holds the position of Vice-Chair of the Internship Program for Scientific Research and Academic Training at the Faculty of Dentistry, King Abdulaziz University. She holds a PhD in Dental Materials and specializes in dental light-curing technologies and resin-based composites. She recently completed a Fulbright Visiting Scholar appointment at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and has been awarded a patent related to dental innovation. Dr. Al-Zain has received multiple competitive research grants, authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and presented widely at national and international conferences. Her interests include artificial intelligence in dentistry and dental education.
