Pediatric dental specialty is considered the widest scope among all dental specialties with numerous subspecialties. Clinical failures in pediatric dentistry can occur despite careful diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning. They may be related to biological, behavioral, technical, or patient-related factors. Understanding the causes of unsuccessful outcomes is essential for improving clinical decision-making and enhancing the quality of care provided to children. The Aim of this presentation is to review selected pediatric dental cases in which treatment outcomes were unsuccessful or less favorable than anticipated, with emphasis on identifying contributing factors and highlighting strategies for prevention and management. Clinical failure should not be viewed solely as an undesirable outcome, but also as an important source of clinical learning.
