Phenotype Modulation and Soft Tissue Grafting Around Implants in the Aesthetic Zone

Achieving predictable and stable aesthetics in anterior implant restorations, particularly under immediate loading protocols, represents a primary objective for every clinician. This lecture unveils a synergistic methodology, integrating soft tissue grafting with prosthetic contouring and biomechanics, to ensure natural-looking and durable outcomes in high-aesthetic-demand zones. Contemporary evidence underscores the critical influence of peri-implant soft tissue architecture and critical passage management as well as biomechanics on long-term aesthetic stability. Building on this foundation, a novel Phenotype Modulation Technique is introduced. This approach involves the strategic selection and grafting of specific soft tissue phenotypes to actively guide and stabilize long-term tissue growth patterns. Practitioners will learn the rationale, indications, limits and methodology behind the soft tissue harvesting and grafting. The lecture will align with the concepts shown in the main podium session.
