Digital Facebow and Accurate Digital Articulation of Scanned Arches: The Axioprisa and Axiomount Concept.

During the application of the digital workflow in everyday dentistry the dentist and lab technician are presented with the difficult task of transferring accurately data back and forth from the analog world to the digital environment.

The position of the maxilla and the mandible can be transferred accurately to the working position of the digital environment through the use of a digital face bow that transfers the exact position of the occlusal plane to the digital articulator. Similarly, the digitally created restorations can be articulated with precision to an analog articulator and transferred to the analog environment with the appropriate instrumentation.

During this workshop we will present and demonstrate the procedure of accurately transferring the position of the maxillary and mandibular scans to the digital articulator with the use of the digital face bow Axioprisa (AXP) and the procedure of printing and mounting with precision of the digitally created restorations to the analog articulator with the use of the Axiomount system (AXM).
