Direct build-up of grossly damaged teeth is sometimes challenging to the skill of the operator and the cost effectiveness of treatment, in terms of the time and effort invested relative to the expected treatment outcome. Many clinicians resort to indirect restorations with added costs that may not be affordable to the patient, and more sacrifice of the already scarce tooth tissues. This lecture presents some clinical evidence-based solutions that helps the operator to achieve the desired clinical outcome with maximum ease, least time, minimal effort and utmost conservation of sound tooth tissues.
